I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work, the Ngarigo peoples, and pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging here and across the nation.
In times of great change, many organisations are looking at new ways to strengthen their governance, strategy and operational delivery.
MKC is ready to help.
Drawing on extensive leadership experience in the community, disability, aged care, indigenous and training sectors, across Australia, MKC founder Murray Coates is able to offer high level support, project delivery and analytical insights.
We want to work in partnership to support your organisation towards a stronger future.
Levels of uncertainty and disruption that are unprecedented in our lifetime have created monumental challenges to organisational leaders.
MKC provides insight, support and additional project leadership to complement your own - providing ideas, facilitation and executive-level experience to develop new solutions that will help your organisation move forward on a stronger footing.
We act as an effective circuit breaker, coming in on a project basis to ask key questions, carry out analytics and deliver change. Through this process, we typically start with a myriad of conversations, asking 'why?'.
Drawing on these insights and our experience, we work with you to clearly define and where necessary, rethink your future strategy.
Which way next?
A key part of our strategy development process involves deciding if you require a reset, transition or transformation.
In the current environment, many organisations are finding that transformation is where they need to go, and that they need a strong strategy and implementation plan that clearly defines:
MKC develops strategy differently.
We don't do weekend marathons, where everyone is over it by the time they get to the end, with no will or energy for implementation.
Our strategy development uses knowledge from all parts of the organisation, customers and other stakeholders to bring together a draft plan that the Executive signs up to and the Board sign off on. Workshops, conversations and research can all be done quickly and cost effectively.
MKC chunks strategy into achievable, measurable portions, helping keep teams on track and achieve your defined goals.
We can develop courses/sessions that relate to your new strategy or new operational environment.
We can also develop skills-based courses for you or run some of our prepared courses.
We use group work to solve problems, discover new ideas and opportunities, undertake reviews and facilitate change.
Our workshops always start with identifying clear objectives and goals, with an underlying focus on achieving core goals and an action plan at the end.
Just get us to deliver a key goal, or solve a problem that will help you achieve your goals. We can be the independent person doing a review, or reimagining your strategic plan or analysing your processes and structure to identify ways to be stronger for the future. MKC specialises in analysing and reflecting on data; what it's telling you and what to do next.
Being your interim CEO to get things back on track, before you decide what skills you need long term. Or filling a gap in executive capacity that you don't currently have in-house.
With our extensive experience, MKC can provide Board-level expertise and advice to challenge or drive directions and strategy, or inform decisions.
To support organisations to be all that they want to be, so that they can have positive impacts on people's lives.
MKC's principal, Murray Coates, has over 25 years working in the c-suite of organisations in multiple sectors across Australia.
Murray has worked in a wide range of sectors including disability, aged care, employment, indigenous affairs and training. All of these sectors have had, or are currently going through, large-scale transformational reform.
During transformation, Murray keeps a clear focus on customers, the team and long-term sustainability of organisations.
This has included leading organisations in moving away from pure government funding, and into a sustainable financial position. He understands the journey, environment and dynamics that organisations go through as government policy changes and new players enter the market.
Murray has served on many profit-for-purpose and community/commercial boards, including Kimberley Group Training, TAFE Governing Board; he was the Chairperson and Board Member of the Ord Valley Muster.
Understanding the needs and differences of working in large cities, regional or remote locations, is central to Murray's experience.
